Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
About Barbra Laird Ms. Barbra received her Kindermusik license in 2000 and began teaching in the Washington, DC, area with Kindermusik Maestro Educator Denise Singh. She moved to Durham, NC, in 2001 and has been teaching in a variety of settings including private homes, schools, and churches. Her current teaching locations are Broken Spoke Farm, Blacknall Memorial Church and Grey Stone Preschool & Kindergarten. You will also find her sharing her love of children and music at the Durham County Library, preschools, day cares, church programs and local birthday parties. She resides in Durham with her husband, Scott, and their three sons.
In every Kindermusik class, you and your child will be welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They’ll interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Our approach to early childhood education and award-winning, research-based, and developmentally appropriate curricula prime children for success in school and in life.
