Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
Marie Kusters (B.Ed., B.Sc.) is a Kindermusik educator, former Kindermusik University Mentor, and violinist. She has taught Kindermusik since 1993, has trained Kindermusik educators for over 10 years and has taught Suzuki violin since 1987. She has also taught elementary school and has trained in early childhood education speciality. Marie offers the full range of Kindermusik Curricula in a home studio setting, as well as Suzuki private violin lessons. She is fully fluent in both French and English and enriches her classes by offering a bilingual program to her families. Marie has shared her love of music with her three children, who have done Kindermusik and Suzuki and now play between them: violin, viola, cello, piano and harp. Her husband, Doug Murphy, is a double bass teacher as well as a civil engineer. Marie finds it very inspiring to have a musical family and loves teaching music to all children, as well as her own grandchildren, planting seeds that will grow for years to come.
Home studio offering bilingual (English & French) Kindermusik classes for children from birth to age 7. All educators are fully accredited by Kindermusik International. Our studio is designated as a Top program, indicating that we are in the top 5% of all Kindermusik studios worldwide. Our director, Marie Kusters, is a former Kindermusik Educator Trainer as well as a Maestro in Masterful Teaching. Our Accredited Kindermusik Educators, Marie Kusters and Sarah Morris have many years of teaching experience, extensive musical training, a love of children and are passionate about imparting the benefits of music education to you and your child(ren).
