2- and 3-year-olds have tons of energy and their own ideas. Level 2 classes are all about exploring creativity and enhancing cognitive development through singing, dancing, and instrument play, while grownups learn how to help unpack big emotions with music.

Have a very independent toddler? Want them to be more independent? Level 2 classes give toddlers the opportunity to express their own ideas and creativity. They’ll learn new vocabulary, play instruments, and do things “their own way,” while making cognitive strides.

Kathryn Henderson, Director of Music Connections Foundation, has been a licensed, trained Kindermusik teacher since 1993. Katie earned a degree in piano performance from Illinois State University and has worked with children in varying musical capacities for more than 40 years. Katie began Bloomington-Normal's only Kindermusik program in her home with 28 students in 1994. Now past their 30th year, Katie's company has topped 500 students and hosts a faculty of approximately nine teachers and an administrator. Through the newly formed Music Connections FOUNDATION (2008), Katie has expanded her mission to more systematically reach groups of children and families with special needs. Katie has enjoyed serving the PKE (Partnership of Kindermusik Educators) as Advisor for Professional Development and working directly with Kindermusik International on various projects related to Curriculum and Training.
Our studio is located in the Evangelical Free Church at 2910 E Lincoln in Bloomington; just east of Veteran's Parkway between Veteran's and Hershey Roads. Park in the lot to the west (left) of the building and enter through the double doors found beneath the overhang.

Welcome to Music Connections Foundation! We are a not for profit studio offering Kindermusik in the Bloomington-Normal area for almost 30 years! Our school year session is from September - May with enrollment open at any time in any class with openings.
