Kindermusik Foundations

The Foundations class is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.

  • Movement Control
Different movement activities help babies strengthen their core muscles, which increases their sense of balance and control over movements.
  • Social Adaptability
Group activities allow babies to experience familiar and unfamiliar social experiences in a safe and secure way.
  • Listening and Communication Skills
Listening to music and doing vocal play exercises helps develop a baby’s back-and-forth communication skills.
  • Language and Literacy Development
Introducing spoken sounds and rhythms through songs and rhymes helps support language and literacy development.
Ms. Alison

Ms. Alison

Ms. Alison first fell in love with music at 2 years-old in her Suzuki piano class. Her love for piano branched out into singing and theatre, and after studying vocal performance and theatre at Florida State University, she became a professional actress and singer. In 2005, Ms. Alison opened a theatre company and began teaching private voice lessons. When COVID came along, a lot changed, including her home address. She had always wanted to live on the coast "some day", and if COVID taught us anything, it was that "some day" may not be there. Ms. Alison made some major changes in her life. In 2022, she moved from her hometown of Peachtree City, Georgia (in which she was the 9th generation of her family to live) to Saint Helena Island, South Carolina, and she says she couldn't be happier. After becoming a single mom by choice to a brilliant, beautiful daughter (who is now 3 years-old), Ms. Alison reconnected with her love of music and sought ways to introduce it to her daughter and include her in it. Ms. Alison is accredited to teach the entire Kindermusik program (ages newborn-7 years-old) and teaches Kindermusik, voice lessons, and camps in both Beaufort and Bluffton. Private voice lessons are available for ages 6 and up. Adults, too! She has BIG plans for The Cat's Meow Productions! Her longterm goal is to have a performing arts academy and performance space. Think cabarets, plays, murder mysteries, and historical immersion events, but first... Kindermusik and private voice lessons. Stay tuned!
