Need something for the whole family? Mixed Age classes are designed for little ones at different developmental levels to make music together. Families build connection, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.

Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
Emily Chang is a Licensed Avatar® Master, Accredited Kindermusik Educator, and Certified Simply Music Piano Teacher. Believing in the value of early childhood music education, Emily sought to bring her love of music and young children together with the establishment of Kindermusik with Ms. Emily. She currently teaches classes in San Gabriel, Arcadia, and South Pasadena. She has been offering private piano lessons, music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading to students of various ages since 2002. Emily studied with Professor Dennis Thurmond at the University of Southern California, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She is also a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California.
This class is offered through the recreation of City of South Pasadena.

Parking is on the streets and in the rear. We'll have shoes off when we are on the floor mats during class.
Refunds will be granted if participant notifies the Community Services Department of the cancellation before the start of the second class, less a $20 admin fee. Full refunds will be made if class is cancelled by the City. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE GRANTED ONCE THE SECOND CLASS HAS STARTED.
