For 18 months to 3+ years old this class is playful and full of movement. Children are learning about who they are and the "rules" of being social and you are their coach. Music weaves in listening skills, creative expression, and neurosynchronisity!
2- and 3-year-olds have tons of energy and their own ideas. Level 2 classes are all about exploring creativity and enhancing cognitive development through singing, dancing, and instrument play, while grownups learn how to help unpack big emotions with music.
Have a very independent toddler? Want them to be more independent? Level 2 classes give toddlers the opportunity to express their own ideas and creativity. They’ll learn new vocabulary, play instruments, and do things “their own way,” while making cognitive strides.
Yvette Odell has been teaching Kindermusik since 1994 and in 1998 became director/owner of her studio in Holland, MI. In 2008 she relocated to NC to be near extended family and to share her warm and friendly style of teaching in Weaverville, Asheville, and Arden. Yvette has her BA in music ed. from Western Maryland College (now named McDaniel College) and a Master's in music ed. from Wichita State University in KS. Her continuing education involves child development, sensory integration work and communication skills. She is frequently asked to present at conferences on topics such as child development, parenting, music and learning, sensory integration and homeschooling. She teaches flute and is involved her church's music ministry. Yvette has 3 children of her own and has been teaching music to young children since 1980. She is recognized as a Maestro in Kindermusik (top 5% worldwide) and in 2010 also was awarded recognition for top growth of all Kindermusik curricula.
Kindermusik with Yvette brings Kindermusik to the Arden area at Skyland United Methodist Church. 1984 Hendersonville Rd. Classes are in the upstairs part of the church. Enter the door to the right of the main church doors near the church offices.
Yvette Odell has been working with music and young children since 1990 and as a Kindermusik educator since 1995. She has been recognized as a Kindermusik Maestro, now Top Program, for 18 of the last 19 years. Parents appreciate her passion for child development and love the information she shares in classes. Children love Ms. Yvette almost as much as they love music. Yvette offers all levels of Kindermusik from newborn to 7+ years old.
