Did you know sound recognition begins in the womb? Foundations classes are all about exploring and reacting to new sounds, objects, and movements. Plus, parents and caregivers heighten connections with their babies by learning bonding techniques.

The Foundations class is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.

Julie Davidson is the owner and an educator at Joyful Noise Kindermusik, which is distinguished as a Kindermusik Top Program. She began teaching Kindermusik in 1999 and opened the studio in 2000. Julie's musical background, years of teaching public school, and degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology give her everything needed to reach out to children and parents. One parent had this to say about Julie's program, "My daughter has been enrolled in Kindermusik since 6 months of age and it has been one of the best decisions we have made. I have attributed her rich and early emergence of expressive language skills to our involvement in Kindermusik. Plus, she has developed such an appreciation and love for music and movement that I am sure will continue with her throughout her childhood. We are expecting our second child and I plan to give him/her the same Kindermusik opportunities that we have given to our first child." Julie's loves include her husband Marty, 2 adult daughters, and a grandchild.
Classes meet at Summerfield's First Baptist Church, 2300 Scalesville Road. The church is within sight of the intersection of Hwy 220 and Hwy 150 W in Summerfield.
