Need something for the whole family? Mixed Age classes are designed for little ones at different developmental levels to make music together. Families build connection, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.
Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
I started the Kindermusik program at Vanderbilt''s Blair School of Music in 2001. The past 12 years have been a joy watching young children grow and learn with music as the catalyst. I have twenty-plus year years of teaching experience and am pleased that Vanderbilt''s program has achieved Maestro status rated among the top 5% in the U.S. I am a writer of the Kindermusik University Fundamentals Course for educator training and served on Kindermusik International''s Peer Licensing Board. I represent Kindermusik''s ABC Music and Me program as account manager for TN and KY. Other teaching responsibilities include music specialist at Jones Paideia Magnet in Metro Nashville Schools and also Collegiate Music Ed. classes at Vanderbilt. I''m the mother of three daughters and have a new grandson.
Kindermusik at Vanderbilt is located in the heart of "Music City" - Nashville, TN! The program at Blair Academy has attained Top Program status – rated among the top 5% in the U.S. The Nashville Scene recently named Kindermusik as the Best Children’s Music Class. Amy Alley, a 20 year Kindermusik educator, was one of the writers of Kindermusik University Fundamentals Course for educator training.
