Need something for the whole family? Mixed Age classes are designed for little ones at different developmental levels to make music together. Families build connection, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.
$45 Registration Fee per student, which includes a personal instrument kit that is new each year!
Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!
Lesley started making music at a young age and began formal training in voice at age 12. During high school at Sewickley Academy, she starred in many musicals such as Pippin, Smile, and Carousel. She continued her experience in theater at Grove City College landing lead roles in various shows such as Guys and Dolls and Alice in Wonderland. Graduating Cum Laude from GCC, Lesley began her career as an Assistant Buyer for Kaufmann’s Department store. After moving through the roles of Department Manager, Buyer, and Regional Coordinator at what has now become Macy’s, she took a step back from corporate America to raise her children. In 2007, she started teaching Music Together classes throughout northern New Jersey, sharing her love of music with children ages 0-5 and their parents. She started her own music education company, Notable Beginnings, in 2014 in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with the mission of helping parents give their children the best possible beginning in music. For the next seven years she taught children ages 0-8 and their caregivers how to be active music makers in a relaxed, playful, non-performance classroom setting that supported each child’s unique learning style. Lesley resides in Peters Township with her husband Matt and their children Connor and Katelyn. She is very excited to be part of the Kindermusik team at Kathy’s Music so she can continue nurturing and educating the next generation of musicians and music lovers.
