Kindermusik Mixed Age

Sometimes, the best learning happens when we’re all together. Mixed age classes allow families with siblings, neighbor groups of varying age levels, and anyone who’s drawn to the time slot to attend. Educators accommodate powerful and enjoyable music and movement activities for all stages of development, so that everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning!

Michaela Mulroney

My name is Michaela Mulroney. I have been a primary school teacher for 18 years with a special interest in teaching music and singing. I have a Masters's degree in children composing music and before moving to Abu Dhabi, I worked in East London for ten years helping schools set up choirs and teaching young children how to compose, orchestrate and perform their own operas. When the opportunity came to train as a Kindermusik educator, I leapt at it. I think the underpinning theory and process of the program are the very best of what music education should be! I discovered Kindermusik when my son was 1 year old and since then we’ve been hooked. Both of us love the range of music and musical styles, playing instrument games and all the dances. I found many friends through the sessions and my rather shy son has grown so confident and asks to play the musical games at home all the time. We still attend Kindermusik classes together and my husband tries to come along to as many sessions as he can. As he says: “I want to have fun, too!” I still sing and dance for pleasure myself. I travel up to Dubai once a week to dance Lindy Hop and I conduct a women’s barbershop choir here in Abu Dhabi. I am so thrilled to become part of the Abu Dhabi Kindermusik with Silvia and Friends. I can’t wait to help more families connect and bond through music.
