Did you know sound recognition begins in the womb? Foundations classes are all about exploring and reacting to new sounds, objects, and movements. Plus, parents and caregivers heighten connections with their babies by learning bonding techniques.

The Foundations class for babies 0-18 months is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.
I have been passionate about music all my life. My mother and I sang at home all the time. I was in the cherub choir at the age of five and continued in choirs through my school years. I earned my music degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Piano Performance from Wayne State University. I have been teaching students of all ages for over forty years. My background also includes performing , teaching private voice and piano lessons, classroom music, and directing children/adult vocal and handbell choirs. In 1998, I discovered Kindermusik and found my calling. I introduced the Kindermusik program at Evola Music and followed with Music for Little Mozarts. This year, I was given the opportunity to own the Evola Kindermusik studio and move to a new location at the Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex. I am now the proud owner of Prelude Music Studio and look forward to more musical memories. I am a licensed Kindermusik Top Program educator. I regularly attend conferences to continue my teaching education. I have also been a board member on the Partnerships of Kindermusik Educators, a presenter at conferences, a teaching/business coach and was on the Kindermusik curriculum development team.
In every Kindermusik class, you’re welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They’ll interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Our approach to early childhood education and award-winning, research-based, and developmentally appropriate curricula prime children for success in school and in life.
