You can attend up to 8 classes with this subscription. Can be used for more than one individual. If using for more than one person/class, then each attendee participating uses one class. Classes are every Wednesday and Friday from 3-4 pm. Each participant should plan about 60 minutes for their project.
October 9th and 11th - Picasso Faces - After viewing Picasso's paintings and drawings, students will use colorful paper to make 3D faces.
October 16th and 18th - Fall in Pointillism - In the style of Seurat, students will paint fall scenes.
October 23rd and 25th - Crazy Masks - Using paper and complementary colors of paint, students will make masks.
October 30th and November 1st - Clay Monsters - Exploring the pinch pot technique, students will sculpt monsters.
November 6th and 8th - Nature Art - After studying Andy Goldworthy's nature Art, students will create their own works of art, using leaves, sticks and stones.
November 13th and 15th - Clay pumpkins - Explore various techniques on slabs of clay, then turn them into pumpkins.
November 20th and 22nd - Painting - Students will paint using fingers and various tools, inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night.
December 4th and 6th - Christmas cards - Explore printmaking techniques using foam to create and print designs for Christmas cards.
December 11th and 13th - Cookie Paintings - Using special edible paint, create works of art, using cookies as the canvas.
If you exceed 8 uses/month, you can pay an additional $20/class for anything over 8 uses.
Ms. Angie has been an artist her whole life. Her favorite media are clay and pastels, although she enjoys working with a wide variety of materials. Previously an elementary art teacher and a longtime homeschool mom, she now offers community art classes. She encourages children to explore and experiment while teaching them the necessary skills to succeed with various media. She has done collaborations with school groups and taught private classes, as well as some "Coffee and Canvas" events for adults.
