This is a beginner level art class with projects in crafting. Students will explore a variety of art techniques, styles, and materials including painting and sculpting. This art class will be learning techniques in drawing with pencils and colored pencils, watercolors, acrylics, and pastels.
Alex Bustetter
Alex Bustetter graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Arts with a focus in photography and printmaking. She went on to get a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Alex taught in the greater Lexington area for a few years before taking time off to spend with (and homeschool) her children. She and her family recently moved back home to Ashland and are looking for ways to get involved with the community. From ceramics to portrait drawing, Alex has a wide range of skills. Alex will work around students’ interests, so don’t hesitate to ask about a specific art medium! She also specializes in differentiation, making sure every student will find success in her classes. Each class will be a combination of skill building and art history.
